Camp Nor'Wester on Johns Island, the San Juan Islands, and Nortwest Coast Native Art

Camp Nor'Wester is a summer camp for children 9-16 located on John's Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. The camp has strong ties to the peoples and cultures of the Northwest coast, and is where I was first exposed to and became interested in the cultures and art of the Northwest coast. The Bill Holm and the camp have been building a new Northwest Coast Native style Big House which was completed and dedicated with a Potlatch on August 21, 2005.
